Kinequip Price Configurator

## Outcome Delivered the Kinequip Configurator and its companion tool, Price Light: two paths for producing equipment pricing, from configurable quotes to fast lookups. ## Context This was a 2022–2023 contract engagement for Kinequip through My Project Solution, built with Laravel and Vue.js. I contributed the application work within the client and delivery collaboration; Kinequip's team owned the pricing domain and operating context. ## Problem Staff needed to price equipment with changing options, dependencies, and pricing rules, while simpler requests should not have to pass through the full configurator. ## Constraints Both tools needed to be maintainable by the client team. No public usage, conversion, or performance metrics are available for this engagement. ## Decisions and trade-offs The full Configurator handled real-time option dependencies and pricing rules; Price Light provided a deliberately simpler price-lookup path. The tools shared a Laravel back end and Vue.js component patterns, trading some product separation for more consistent maintenance. ## Implementation I built the Laravel and Vue.js configurators so staff could assemble equipment options into priced quotes as selections changed, working against the client team's pricing requirements. I also built Price Light alongside the full configurator for quicker pricing needs. ## Results Kinequip received both a full configuration workflow and a lighter lookup workflow, delivered in collaboration with the client and delivery teams over the contract period. ## Takeaways When a complex configuration journey and a quick answer serve different needs, separate the experiences while sharing the underlying pricing foundations.
