Solutions Architect & Fractional CTO

Enterprise Laravel architecture, code audit, and technical due diligence for founders and PE buyers.

I spent 4.5 years as Solutions Architect on Canvas, Pfizer's global content-management platform, owning architecture, code-review standards, and platform stability at enterprise scale. Before that I served as CTO and Chief Architect across two companies, rebuilding architectures and clearing framework debt without halting delivery. I read codebases for risk the way a diligence buyer needs: key-person fragility, scale limits, security posture, and knowledge transfer. I work requirements-first, then design, then hands-on delivery.

Enterprise architecture at Pfizer

Owned architecture and delivery on Canvas, Pfizer's global content-management platform, across a 4.5-year engagement, the large majority of my client work across those years.

  • Set and enforced the platform code-review standard, holding the review bar across squads for the length of the engagement so changes shipped consistently without a single-reviewer bottleneck.
  • Drove test coverage as a delivery gate, sustaining test-first discipline in PHPUnit and Pest suites that let the team refactor data-heavy Canvas modules without regressions.
  • Led the platform squad on performance and stability, pairing hands-on delivery with a sustained architecture and design-review track.
  • Migrated the primary content store to Couchbase, a sustained datastore and search track that moved lookups onto a document model built for them while keeping the platform online.
  • Integrated enterprise SSO spanning OIDC, SAML, OAuth 2, and JWT, sustained auth and security work across the engagement, so Pfizer identity providers authenticated against Canvas without per-app auth.
  • Ran recurring upgrade and migration campaigns, keeping the Laravel and dependency stack current without breaking downstream product teams.

Fractional leadership and diligence

Led architecture and delivery as CTO and Chief Architect across FreshinUp and Envision2bWell, coaching a team of senior developers.

  • Rebuilt the application architecture from the ground up into modular, reusable Laravel packages (a monorepo of shared atoms and molecules), so client projects composed features instead of rewriting them.
  • Migrated the platform from Laravel 5.8 to 8.x, clearing years of framework debt without halting delivery.
  • Handled HIPAA-grade data protection and encryption (HIPAA Level III trained) on Envision2bWell's health platform, meeting compliance for regulated patient data.
  • Groomed and split work into small, incremental tickets and ran Scrum delivery, keeping a senior team shipping daily progress.

Standards across engagements

As Lead Application Developer at Kirschbaum Development Group, I hold code-quality and project-stability standards across client engagements, interfacing directly with clients to turn requirements into scoped, incremental work.

Founder track record

Founded Traxelio, a GPS fleet-tracking SaaS, and shipped it end to end across back end, web, and native mobile, owning the full stack solo from architecture through store-published apps.
