Enterprise Laravel delivery across SSO, Couchbase, and resumable large-file uploads.
I spent 4.5 years as Solutions Architect on Canvas, Pfizer's global content-management platform. My work included enterprise SSO across OIDC, SAML, OAuth 2, and JWT; a Couchbase datastore migration while the platform stayed online; and resumable large-file ingestion on the TUS protocol. I pair hands-on delivery with code-review standards and test coverage that keep enterprise teams shipping safely.
Enterprise SSO across the platform
On Canvas, Pfizer's global content-management platform, I integrated enterprise SSO so Pfizer identity providers authenticated against Canvas without per-app auth.
- Integrated enterprise SSO spanning OIDC, SAML, OAuth 2, and JWT, sustained auth and security work across the engagement.
- Set and enforced the platform code-review standard, holding the review bar across squads for the length of the engagement so changes shipped consistently without a single-reviewer bottleneck.
- Drove test coverage as a delivery gate, sustaining test-first discipline in PHPUnit and Pest suites that let the team refactor data-heavy Canvas modules without regressions.
Couchbase migration with the platform online
- Migrated the primary content store to Couchbase, a sustained datastore and search track that moved lookups onto a document model built for them while keeping the platform online.
- Ran recurring upgrade and migration campaigns, keeping the Laravel and dependency stack current without breaking downstream product teams.
- Led the platform squad on performance and stability, pairing hands-on delivery with a sustained architecture and design-review track.
Resumable large-file uploads
- Built resumable large-file ingestion on the TUS protocol, so multi-gigabyte asset uploads survived flaky enterprise networks and resumed instead of restarting.
- Delivered UI features and back-end services on Canvas Core, the shared platform other Pfizer product squads build on.
Laravel architecture across engagements
As CTO and Chief Architect across FreshinUp and Envision2bWell:
- Rebuilt the application architecture from the ground up into modular, reusable Laravel packages, so client projects composed features instead of rewriting them.
- Migrated the platform from Laravel 5.8 to 8.x, clearing years of framework debt without halting delivery.
- Handled HIPAA-grade data protection and encryption on Envision2bWell's health platform, meeting compliance for regulated patient data.
