Why I Work on Weekends and Holidays

You already know I work weekends. But I also work on holidays. Every “off day” is a workday for me. I see time as limited, so each hour I spend not working is an hour taken away from my goals and dreams.

The Role of Energy in My Daily Hours

The hours I put in each day depend on my energy. A full day can mean up to 12 hours, though I try not to cross that line. Early in the day, my focus is stronger, so I prioritize deep work then.

Managing Breaks Without Losing Momentum

I never take breaks longer than two hours. Any longer and I lose momentum. A nap is 15 minutes to an hour. A meal break may be one hour. I’ve learned that short, controlled pauses keep my focus alive.

Early Mornings Without Alarms

I wake up between 4 and 7 AM. I’ve practiced this long enough that alarms aren’t needed. Alarms feel like anxiety. By waking naturally, I start calm and ready to execute without decision fatigue.

Focus Blocks and Deep Work

My work runs in cycles:

  • 90 minutes with a 10-minute break
  • 45 minutes with a 5-minute break if tired
  • Every 3 hours, a longer pause of 30 minutes

This rhythm keeps me sharp while allowing moments to reset. Deep work always comes first.

Discipline That Feels Like Freedom

To some, my system may sound strict. To me, it’s not discipline—it’s observation. I’ve found what works best for me and I repeat it. I don’t see it as sacrifice, because I enjoy it.

Why I Work Hard and Smart

Time is limited. We don’t live forever. Every wasted hour is one less chance to get closer to the life I want. I’d rather invest in my dream than spend it passively. For me, this is not a burden but a choice.
