What Does Stubborn Really Mean?
When someone calls you stubborn, what do they really mean? Is it because you refuse to see another side, or because you hold firm to your own judgment? Those two aren’t the same.
Pride vs. Independence
If you’re rejecting something just because you don’t like being told what to do, that’s pride. But if you take time to evaluate and still decide it’s not right for you, that’s independence and that’s a good thing.
Being Hard to Influence Is a Strength
Not being easy to influence means you think critically. You don’t jump on every trend or idea. It shows you’ve built a sense of self that doesn’t bend easily. That’s worth keeping.
But Reflection Is Still Necessary
If you can’t accept truth when it’s presented even when it’s new or uncomfortable then it’s time to work on yourself. Awareness doesn’t mean agreeing with everything, but it does mean recognizing when something makes sense.
